About

I am fascinated by the “space-in-between” or the Bardo. Although originally taken from Tibetan Buddhist thought, in my science writing I seek to understand the reciprocal influence of medicinally important plant root compounds and rhizosphere fungi have on the quality of botanical medicine , including wine. As a poet, my efforts focus on the joy of the language naming those experiences that have no name.

I am an innovative educator, developing pedagogy and course learning modules for a broad range of disciplines, including plant biology, mycology and expository writing. As an interdisciplinary researcher I have had the opportunity to integrate extensive experience with herbal products industry, federal regulators and academic research synthesizing solutions using herbal therapeutics, tissue culture, field/green house experiments, toxicology and separation science.

    Hi Michael,
Great website! Love the name & the allusions (that I understand) & your poem. I’m not sure it needs changing…

Anyway – if you see this… my web site about Brick Ovens:
    http://heatkit.com/html/bakeoven.htm

There’s alot of information about it & a free download available for ‘Bread Ovens of Quebec’

The two other books I recommend are: ‘Build Your Own Earth Oven’ – Kiko Denzer, and ‘The Bread Builders’ – Wing & Scott.
    Hope to see you soon!
    Bev
